IDRISSI INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL: A SUCCESS STORY

You know the saying “with great power comes great responsibility”? That’s how we felt after receiving the Eco-Primary Education Award by PEKA Malaysia, graced by His Majesty the Sultan of Selangor.

With PEKA as our environmental partner, we teach our children sustainable living and develop a sustainable community at school. Our eco lessons include responsible consumption, where food wastage during lunchtime is weighed and observed by students and teachers. We went on nature trips where we replanted mangrove and did stream sampling.

We instill the values of good health each day through physical and outdoor activities, and through our little orchard of fruits and veggies. In fact, we had the winner of Masterchef Malaysia teaching our children healthy cooking!

IDRISSI LEARNING PATHWAY OPEN DAY: FIRST STEP INTO THE FUTURE

In conjunction with the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) that will be taking place in November, IDRISSI International Secondary School has organized an open day called IDRISSI LEARNING PATHWAY on Saturday, 10^th of February 2018. The event was held at The Hangout Hall, IDRISSI International Secondary School in Setia Alam, from 9 o’clock in the morning to 12 o’clock in the afternoon. It was opened not just to parents and students, but also to the public.

IGCSE is the world’s most popular international qualification for 14 to 16 year olds, certified by University of Cambridge. In Malaysia, this would be equivalent to the Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM). It is recognized by leading universities and employers worldwide, and is an international passport to individual development and achievement. Established over 25 years ago, it is tried, tested and trusted by schools all over the globe. Such credibility is important for IDRISSI, being an eco-Islamic school that follows Cambridge International School curriculum as its academic framework, while infusing Islamic and environmental education in every lesson.
